The blog

Basically this blog is just my thoughts on Scripture as I wander through its pages. I find I read more carefully and ponder more deeply when I require myself to write something about what the reading means to me. So, while I hope you enjoy reading my thoughts, it is really for pretty selfish reasons that I produce this. It provides extra motivation for me to regularly get in God’s Word and dig treasures from its pages.

The author

I am a follower of Jesus Christ who has been privileged to journey with Him in many different callings and life adventures.  As a husband, father, pastor, Christian educator, missionary, missions director and leader I have worn a lot of hats and still keep a rack full of them.

I keep thinking one day I’ll find something I do well and stick with that. Until then I plan to just continue doing what my hands find to do, hopefully blessing and helping a few people along the way and ultimately bringing honor to my heavenly Father with this one life He has given me.

  1. Rick,
I pray that God continues to bless you and your family. I pray that your ministry continues to bless others and that they continue to grow. May joy and success through through the Trinity be yours forever. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

  2. Subject: Permission to Reprint

I read one of Rick Malm’s blogs, “Why Kids Grow Up and Reject God—Even When They Have Amazing Parents.” I am requesting permission to reprint that article in the Fall edition of our denominational magazine, The Connection. This issue will be printed and distributed in September 2016 and our emphasis is on the home and family. Past issues of our magazine can be viewed on our website at http://emchurch.org/pdf/Winter_Connection_2016.pdf

Please let me know what I need to do to receive requested permission or how I can contact Rev. Malm’s.
